Well, as you can see I will have a lot of work but I'm really happy at this moment - I saved her from processing into razor blades...

Wish me luck.

Laba diena ! :)

First I would like to thank for warm welcome. Well, the most important goal was to save this car before being made into razor blades... Just look:

We'll start repairing this car in April. Now the most important thing is that the car was able to leave and enter on his own strength to the garage. The brakes aren't working well, there is also a problem with launch the car in "petrol" mode. On "gas" engine is working well.

And... Standard in old Ladas:

Some new parts from Hungary and Estonia (rubber hoses - Estonian guy gave them to me totally for free ! :) )

So, there is a lot of work as you can see...

...but it will be worth it ! :)

I'm sure you will sort it out. Well all panels for 2106 are still available and bodywork should not be a problem. It's simply rotten in regular places like most of Ladas.
If it works on LPG but not on petrol, i would suggest checking for fuel pressure first - fuel pump. Also full cleaning of fuel line and petrol tank would be a good idea for future use.

Brakes and clutch, well story here is simple. Throw everything away, install quality cylinders and avoid russian made parts as they are not worth shit. LPR is a price and quality match but also if you can afford something better as ATE go for it.

Keep us posted, and good luck!

If there is only the few bad points, that you show us about the rust, and nothing more, then you're a lucky man. I had a more worst condition in mine 2106.. I welded about 20 bad points, maybe more, and not small ones...

I know it Pal, but first we must fight with clutch. ;)

OK. Old clutch pomp...

...and new:

So we have some, small progress. Clutch works better but still not yet as it should.

To be continued...
